Do you love the great game of football? Do you get caught up in the excitement of guessing who’s going to win a game, or top the league? Do you love the heart pounding excitement of rooting for your team?
Then Predictor Leagues could be the perfect competition site for you!
Predictor Leagues is a little like fantasy football but much simpler to play, and with some fantastic prize pots up for grabs!
So how does it work? Simple.
League managers sign up to create their own predictor league. Signing up is quick and easy. All you need is an email address and a valid debit or credit card.
Then, league managers select seven upcoming football fixtures. Fixtures are chosen from a range of leagues including the English Premier League, English Championship, and Scottish Premier League.
Managers invite players to their league. Each player makes their predictions for each match. You can predict a home win, an away win, or a draw. That’s it! Once your predictions are made, all you have to do is wait for the matches to be played, and see how well you did.
You might be wondering how you can find leagues to join. Predictor Leagues has an open leagues section on their website, where you can join open games for anywhere from a £1 – £5 fee. However, we’ve noticed that the open leagues fill up quickly. At the time of this writing there were no spots left!
A more reliable way to play is to start your own league. Yes, league managers are also allowed to compete as players.
Once you’ve got your league set up, you’ll need your players. If you run a football website or blog, a forum, or a Facebook page, you’ve already got a pool of people you can draw from. Running a predictor league is a fantastic way to build excitement among your followers, and keep your blog or page fresh and fun.
And because Predictor Leagues lets you invite people by email, Twitter, or Facebook, it’s easy to get them on board.
But if you’re not a group owner or football blogging wiz, don’t worry. You can find players among your football loving friends, family, and colleagues. Have a chat, get them interested, then you can simply invite them via email.
Once you’ve registered as a league manager, you’re in control. You pick the matches people will cast their predictions for, and as we said, you can also join in as a player. You also set the weekly fee to play, which can be anywhere between 50p and £6.00.
Each week, the player who makes the most accurate predictions goes home with the weekly prize pot winnings, which are drawn from the fees you collect. But there’s more than one chance to win! There’s also a jackpot prize up for grabs, for any player who correctly predicts all seven matches. As a league manager, you’re in charge of the maximum jackpot number.
League managers can also choose to take a manager’s fee of up to 20%. If you choose to take a fee, you can put it towards equipment for your local football team, donate it to a charity, or even keep it for yourself to cover the time you spent running the league. If your local team needs funds, a predictor league is a fun and interactive way to raise some money for them.
And if life gets busy and you forget to make your predictions after you’ve paid, no worries. Predictor Leagues will automatically make the predictions for you, so you’ll always get to play.
It’s easy to join leagues, start leagues, and even leave or close leagues if you want to. So why not turn your love of the game into an exciting chance to bring your community together, and win some prizes? Players must be over 18 and resident in the UK. Good luck!
